Race Weekend Recap

Gentle Strides of Wishful Thinking

Yesterday I participated in the Anthem Half-Marathon in Virginia.  The whole weekend was great and despite the chilly weather in the morning.  I spend the entire weekend in Virginia Beach and really focused on the race.  I spend Saturday watching the 8k because my sister ran that race.

It was really nice to watch the large crowds cheering on all of the runners.  I love how the whole area was filled with runners this weekend.  I love runners, everyone is so friendly and kind and to be surrounded with all of the camaraderie  really warms my heart.  I love seeing the dedication from everyone that participates.  Nobody stopped and quite, you don’t do that.  Whether it was the person finishing 1st or last I saw true heart and desire on their faces.  My heart went out to those that pushed it too hard and over exerted themselves, but sure enough, there they…
